The objective of this project is to develop a Strategic Energy Action Plan for the Eastern Shawnee Tribe of Oklahoma (ESTOO) that will empower the Tribe to achieve its sustainable energy vision for the seventh generation.
The Tribe will hire a consultant that will assist them in completion of this plan which will incorporate the Tribe’s long term sustainability goals which will support the regional, state and federal energy and sustainability goals. ESTOO will develop partnerships with the Oklahoma Renewable Energy Council (OREC) and the Oklahoma Sustainability Network to identify scope and best practices for the plan as well as in selection of a consultant to assist with development of the plan. An overarching goal of the plan will also be to create training and employment opportunities for tribal members within the renewable energy and sustainability fields in addition to development of an affordable and sustainable energy program for the Tribe.
