The Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation is seeking funding to implement their Strategic Energy Plan and pursuit of renewable energy by installing a 34kW solar ground-mount solar system for the Boys & Girls Club (Youth Center) of the Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation.
The Youth Center is a major energy user in the Nation, and by supplanting its current traditional energy source with solar energy, the Nation will be able to both strengthen its energy development with a renewable resource and reduce its energy expenses, causing more funding to go directly to youth programs and services. The solar site will be built with future addition capabilities in mind, allowing PBPN to further defray its energy footprint. As part of the installation process, the Nation will develop and present a renewable energy curriculum to educate the children of the Boys & Girls Club about the value of energy alternatives.
