Personal Objectives: My Navajo community is patriarchal and as a female we’re supposed to be nurses, teachers or lawyers, moms, not engineers. I want the youth to know that it is okay to do a “man’s” job.

“My educational goal is to graduate and develop an electrical business.”

Major: Bachelor of Science – Electrical Engineering

Personal Objectives: To work with electric vehicles, and become a teacher on the Navajo Nation to inspire Navajo youth to learn more about renewable energy.

“My educational goals is to graduate with honors and to become an Electrical Engineer specializing in Sustainable Energy and Power Distribution for the Navajo Nation.”
